It is hard to believe that over a year has gone by since my diagnoses and
still, no solutions. I spent a few days in the hospital in April to test
a rhythm control medication but that was unsuccessful. The best that I can
do at the moment it to control my heart rate so that I don't have high
heart rates of 150 BPM or more. In June I will be consulting an
Electrophysiologist
for further diagnosis and hopefully ideas towards a cure.
Although there is no real cure for my condition.
I purchased a new road bike and that took awhile to get used to. I did
not like it at first because the handling is so different from my
previous ride and was much more sensitive. So now I love it, a great ride.
I continue my training and on June 18th I joined several hundred other
bicyclists in the "Tour
of the Coeur d'Alenes" This ride follows the
Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, a 72 mile bike trail that follows the Union Pacific
right away from Mullen, ID to Plummer, ID.

There were several different route options from 28 Miles round trip to 130
Miles round trip. I chose the 82 option.
Wallace to Cave Lake – 82 miles round trip. A good portion of
the ride from Rose Lake to Cave Lake winds along waterways…a
beautiful part of the journey.
I continue to train for the STP, Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic to be
held on July 9th and 10th.
